The hike is a 5.5 mile loop that will take about 3 hours. There is a 500 ft elevation gain, but the hike is categorized as easy to moderate.

Meet at the Woodmen Road Park ‘n’ Ride at 9:30am and carpool from there or meet at the trailhead at 10:00am.

Directions:

Take I-25 north to Exit 163 at County Line Road

After .1 mile, turn left onto S. County Line Road/E. Palmer Divide Avenue

After 2.6 miles, turn right onto S. Spruce Mountain Road

After 3.5 miles, turn left and trailhead will be on the left

Bring plenty of liquids and snacks, and an extra layer or two as mid-October days can be very brisk, especially in the morning hours.  Dogs on leashes will be allowed on this hike.
